alrighty...i got my paycheck today, and i think im gonna end up waiting till next paycheck to buy new stuff..so i wont break the bank, but just so i can be watching prices and stuff....i plan on unlocking my xp1600 soon, so what would be the best ram to get...im really only limited by heat..which im not worried about esp on the ram, but what will get me over 200 fsb...preferably at cas2 but 200 fsb is cool too..i know the corsair pc3200 cas 2 is great stuff... but what else is there...where can i get the ram with the 5 ns winbond chips....btw, i want 1 stick of 512mb ram.

I think the Corsair XMS3200 CAS2 is the only thing everyone in this forum likes. If there is a better memory for overclocking, I haven't heard of it.

is it capable of 200 + fsb? im shooting for either the 200 fsb club, or the 2 ghz club.... hopefully both..but i need to figure out what is limiting my overclock once i get new ram....1.95 is about the max i can get at the moment...1.9 is totally stable..and 1.95 will restart after a day or so of folding/prime

why not try 200 with your xms3000!!!
timing might not be as fast as the 3200 .... but i'm sure it can't be that far off!!

oh yea, im gettin to 2 ghz on air...if i dont, im gonna go buy a $5 heatsink, and run it at stock everything....maybe.
i was lookin around on newegg...and i came over this ram...and some of its reviews...
what about the Geil pc3200 ultra? its 2-3-3-6 1T timings are GREAT..and for a 512mb stick of it..its $179 i think..i read some reviews..and it can get higher scores on sandra than the pc1066 ram...like by far..they got this stuff to 240+ fsb...they use 5 ns chips...so do you all think i should consider em?
