I'm buying a Abit KT7A Raid and have a 1ghz T-Bird.
Whats the best heatsink that will cool the CPU and fit the motherboard?
Your advice is much appreciated.

I have an alpha Pal 6035 with a 80mm ->60mm fan adapter and I strapped on a Sunon 36cfm fan. Very slick. However, the Pal with just a 60mm SUnon fan is also very nice. Here are some websites to check out:

The Alpha PAL, Vantec FCE-62540D and ThermoEngine are all good heat sinks. Their overall performance will depend on the fan you choose to go with it.

Absolute best aircooled HSF? Swiftech MC462 in my opinion.... with C/W breaking the .20 barrier, it's pretty much as good as it gets for aircooled. It has the nice easy mounting system too (utilizes the 4 socket holes). If I had unlimited cash it's what I would get.

I really like the Vantec FCE 62540D , it is a breeze to install/remove and performs better than I expected. Check it out. ( this is idle )
