well today i was soo maddd at my comp becaues it was sooo loud. so i took every thing out and put it back in and this time i used all the screws that hold up the cdrw and cdrom ect....lol now there is less vibration and its quietr

Good to hear, vibration can be evil, and securing the device down sure does help.

haha, not a bad idea, but its a general rule that whenever you open your case you should end up with more screwes than when you started, at least thats been my experience with it...

even if i did use all the screws though i dont think i would notice it, what with a screaming delta in there and all...

man with my 80mm delta...and 4 43db fans...i dont even hear that stuff anymore..also can u please talk louder...LOL :)

wow that's good to hear... don't you love it when these things happen? It seems to me that it's always the opposite, I always get tthe short end of the stick

I've noticed that too. Anyone have any theories as to why I can always end up with an extra 2 or 3 screws, but still have a machine that holds itself together? Are there forces beyond simple mechanics at work here?:D

Screws? What are these "screws" you speak of?:D

It is amazing how vibration and rattling increase the noise a pc/case makes.

One of my Farm rigs is on a slightly bent shelf....until I put some rubber matting under it the vibration from the case was louder then the delta fan!!!!!

(A rebuild/organize of the Farm is in the planning stages and will get things neat and tidy- and off of bent shelving;))
