Just need some opinions on a blowhole I'm planning to make. Should I have one 80mm fan inbetween the PSU and DVD or have two 80mm side by side?

My current temps aren't too bad without a blowhole, see sig.

One 80mm should suffice at those sorts of temps.

Or for more, one 120mm fan undervolted to 7v......

I'm a newbie here, but, it would be my guess that it would be to quiet it down, (and to keep it from hovering 6" off the floor)

Just my 2 cents worth...

No such thing as "newbies" here, just "underdeveloped overclockers"!

You are indeed correct! It reduces the noise, whilst providing almost the same flow as an 80mm fan at 12v......

actually since it would be a top mounted exhaust.. that would be pushing it down into the floor instead of lifting it up :)

Hovering Tower Mod? Perhaps with enough torando's. Heck, make it a fixed wing aircraft and do wind tunnel effects. Maybe mount some cannons... sweet. :)

I knew that.. I was just.... testing you... thats all. :D

Actually, I did know it blew out.... How bout if we put them on the bottom, blowing out? That should get it floating... if nothing else, it will help clean the mess off the desk or floor..

Imagine the dust cloud??

A few 100 CFM would not lift a 40 lb case (at minimum :p). That would be sweet though. Especially at a lan party, with a remote control. ;)

I wouldn't jump to a conclusions that newbies don't know anything about overclocking or computers for that matter. When I came to overclockers.com I was huge into ocing! :D
