Where do I need to call to see about get a License for Windows XP. I'm getting ready to build a new computer and want to use my copy of XP to do it.
Do a search for COAs for XP on pricewatch. You can buy the COAs without media or manuals. There are a number of sources, but check them out carefully for authenticity.

Yea I guess I could do that. Bout how do I check to see if it's the real thing and not a fake. I was thinking about calling Microsoft but I can't find a phone #.

XP let me "reactivate" 3 times, After the 3rd time, it said this product key has reached the maximum amount os times it can be activated, please call microsoft (not exactly what it said but close enough). in the box where you activate, i think it is selection #2 where it says use telephone to activaqte...and then it will give you a 1-888 number to call to activate...

I think that whole 3 times is a crock. I've formatted and reinstall about 15 times. So far I have never had to call them.
Check resellerratings.com, and read the feedback on the companies. Look for reputable companies with good reviews. Pay with a credit card(paranoia is good and easier to dispute, if necessary), not a debit card. Some MS info on how to spot an illegal product is here.

Examine the COA before install, and activate immediately to make sure.
