When you upgrade your computer to the newest version of the client you register your cpu with Stanford again. This results in the inflated CPU numbers you saw.

However, we're kickin' butt by having over 1,200+++ active CPU's, let's get it to 2K!!!!!!!

yeah, and I had caused an extra 4 to appear when I was working on my system. Ended up killing both my linux and windows partitions and re-installing

Should be one or two more appearing under my name soon. One K6-2 hasn't completed a WU properly yet, running the text console now on it. Also gonna get a Cyrix MII running some genome units. Also next time I have to fix my sister in laws PC Also gonna get moving on setting up a router/server so I can get more than 3 PCs online, ergo my XP, and another K6-2. . . . . .(she just got something new and fast, dunno exactly what yet ""It says Acer on it..."") I'll talk her into letting me put F@H on it.

... erhm ... I think this only happens when you migrate from 2.x to 3.x.

I don't remember getting a new ID when I migrated from 3.0 to 3.1, and I just went from 3.11 to 3.14 and it used all the same info - no new ID assigned.

But it definitely happens when you migrate from 2 to 3.

EDIT: ... but then, I use the console version exclusively ... perhaps the GUI version behaves differently.

Maybe there were alot of people folding a P18x and because they take time (At least with me they do) there were no results sent that day...;)
