Suck.

I was gone all weekend (with a full cache may I say), and come back to find that the very next WU in queue stalled durring processing, and my computer wasn't crunching for a whole 2 days! I even threw in the benchmark unit so that I could finaly submit it, and it stalls?!! YARGH!

Ok, so mabey it isn't that horible, but why can't my computer restart SETI when it's not doing anything? I know about the "Restart Client When Idle" option in SETISpy, but it seems to work far too well.... If I enable the option, it will restart the client every 5 seconds, not giving it enough time to crunch anything! So restarting when idle just perpetuates an endless loop! It would be nice if it waited a minute or so so that the data file could update....

To control the time it will wait to try restarting the client, go to the client tab, click in the configure botton and in the "keep alive" part up the count to 5 minutes.....that will give enough time to the SETISpy to be sure the client is stalled.

It's allready at 5 minutes. It does it's job fairly well, because when it stops, I will see SETISpy turn yellow for the 5 minutes that I requested, but then, it will go on a restarting craze.

And another thing..... I just noticed that it will keep trying to restart the client when your CPU is too hot. It will give the message, and kill the client on it's own, but it will sense it as idle and start the vicius loop I was talking about, only this time with message boxes too! :(
