Can anyone get the above prog to run without showing errors on their C1 stepping P4 - or any P4 above 2.5ghz???
I cant :( even at default voltage/clock.....just wondering if its only me cos it runs most stuff stable.....

I ran Prime95 for 24 hours with my P4 2.5 C1 @ 2.8 GHz on my Epox 4G4A+. The core was set at 1.85V but dropped to 1.73V during the Prime95 run. Temps under 50C with a Thermaltake Volcano 7+. Any higher and it gets a rounding error after 20 minutes or so.

Cheers DaveB thats put my mind at rest.....kinda
Ive put the 2.5 C1 in the BG7 now and the 1.8A back in the P4T-533, the BG7 is booting at 3ghz with default voltage but no time to check if it was stable (was on my lunch break) Although I did do a quick sandra bench and got 5957Mips
Will test tonite and post reults.....

My situation similar to Daves...

Sig no quite accurate. I am now running 1.675v to maintain stability. With my fsb @ 160, 1.675vcore and 2.7 ddr voltage I had ran Prime95 for 28 hours. I manually stopped it at this point. To say the least I was very happy and have not had a stability problem since.

EDIT:

My voltage also reports a voltage drop under load. Speed Fan reports 1.65 when my voltage is set to 1.675 under Prime95 load.

CHeers guys, some interesting stuff.
Ive put the C1 in my BG7 and its stable at 3088mhz, Im about to post a new thread with benchies etc
Seems the/my P4T-533 just isnt happy with speeds over 2.5ghz, theres no point in me running the C1 in there as I cant get the same FSB as on my 1.8A@2.34ghz.....sig change time...

I didn't have any problems running a Prime on a 2.8 at 3.1 in an Asus P4S533. It's actually been pretty temperature stable (runs fine up to 54-55C).
