Well I was adding a couple of fans to my case the other day and got it all back together to find that once I turned it on it was very slow to report the drives. Once it did it check the RAID channels at the same lethargic pace and then just gave me a cursor. Tried everthing I could think of including checking my jumpres, IDE cables, power cables, and even the MB. Took out the main WD 80gig SE HD and threw in the standby Maxtor 8gig and it worked fine. Try to run the WD as a slave to the Maxtor and it identifys the drives slow again and will not let the Maxtor boot into Windows. Any ideas on how to get into this drive to salvage the drive or some items off of it? Any input or ideas would be appreciated.
