I answered this in your other post in "intel cpu's", but will repeat the info here, as well.

Bring along a phillips screwdriver, and a case screw......

Me and a friend just did this yesterday.We took a screwdriver and in each corner compressed the tabs to remove the fan,then with a oair of pliers compressed two tabs on the same side(some pop out,some break)We had one plastic tab break on us.If you ever want to use the h/s and fan again just use some nylon screws.The fan comes off kinda hard so dont threat about it,just be carfull and take your time.
