Going on Spending spree for CPU an otherstuff

im going on a SPeeeeending spreee what CPU of AMD should I get thats best overclocker besides 1600+ ? All the store has is XP 1800+ and above OEM or retail. ALso shall I get Radeon 9700 and Abit At7 max2 or no need for At7 max too I heard the KD7 Has awesome voltages to mess wit , does the At7 max 2 also? ive got $700 coming friday

from what i read on the amdmb forums the 9700 pro and the Abit Kt400 boards are NOT compatible and your pc wont post if you try to use them.

the kt400's are hella buggy right now is not really a good time at all to get highend stuff. the amd pally's all oc to the same place so get the cheapest one and mobo wise get a kt333 (preferably abit kx7) for vid card go w/ a ti4600.

now if you want to wait 2 weeks then the 2600+ will be out and HOPEFULLY the nforce 2 boards also which we have been waitin for FOREVER!

however, the corsair xms3200 cas 2 ram kicks ass so if you want some new ram get that stuff

you can get a xp2400 if you really have money to blow, hehe. maybe get a watercooling rig too!

tha at7 you will need usb k-board and mouse.
at7 max2 is hella expensive $185 or so. both will cost ya about the same in the end once you buy the usb mouse and kboard.
id get the max 2 tho if your dead set on abit

EPox-8K5A2+ is only $116 at new egg and is highly recomended.it will do vcore up to "correct me if im wrong anybody"2.2v.loaded with features and will run the 9700 with no probs.i wouldnt mix a 9700 with kt400 until they figure out whats happening.

Maybe your rite forget the 9700 Radeon i alrdy got a Ti 4400 Geforce 4, Maybe ill go For Nforce 2 an newer athlon. But for now im definetly buying sumthing my pockets burning.

Btw KD7 Abit's go up too 2.3v without vmod i was told by someone on AMDmb forums im guessing the AT7 max2 also does.
Rite now i got MSI KT4 Ultra and 1600+ AGOIA Y Should I just wait for this bios to mature an for a Vmod or go put my money on the AT7 max2, Im definetly not buying a 2200+ or vid card i think ill be waiting on a nice 2600+ :)

I hope it'll do good and hold me over until atleast the Barton's or something. I'm running a GF3Ti200 @ 250/560... but it still chops bad in Battlefield 1942 at high detail. I might look for a Ti4200 soon. :(

I've been on an 800 duron for the past 3 weeks. I have to say I really don't notice the difference. (Games and big programs, yes of course) It's overlocked to 1ghz. I'm pretty happy actually. So, I would learn patience and wait for the big toys to come out. Barton looks to be promising.. I can't wait. :)

As soon as I get in games at stock speed with my processor everything on default my comp freezes. Any ideas what can cause this im thinking its because i tried attempting a Vmod on it yesterday and the vmod didnt work. so i removed it the comp would shut itself down as soon as it turned on. So instead i tried puting the HSF on again an now it works. What could cause this?
