Athlon XP 2000+ Configuration

Right....so i have an amd athlon 2000+ xp cpu....but my asus mobo says it runs at 1260 mhz !!!! what happened ??
what is the real clock of my amd cpu and what configuration should i do in the bios ?

AMD Athlon XP 2000+
ASUS A7V mobo (yet it supports XP cpu !)
512mb SDRAM SDR
GeForce 3 (pure)
CAK 78 Copper Cooler + Smart Fan from globalwin

I had the same thing.
Make sure your FSB is at 133.

Most MB's come at 100fsb by default

the multiplier is at 12.5 ... is this correct ?

Mine is.. I would assume most boards come at that by default however I don't know the specifics of your particular MB

well is the actual speed of Xp 2000+ 1800mhz or 1678 mhz ???

xp2000+ runs at 1.67ghz

In the BIOS change the cpu speed setting to manual from auto and change the multiplier to 12.5 and the FSB to 133.
