Well I'm going to do a psu cover mod using this cover http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/psc-01.html?mv_pc=2951 now I've never done one before and I was wondering if there were any tutorials out there that covered this sorta modding?

i think all you do is unscrew the old cover, and place the new one on. not too hard.

just don't touch anything ;)

ya, it has sealing foam strips that I guess you just attach to the cover/psu, and then there's a tension tiewrap you put on. Hehe ya I'll be waiting a good 10-20mins for all the charge to drain outta the psu before I touch it!

just touch the center ground pin and ONLY 1 of the other pins with a screwdriver and that should finish off the charge.. or fliping the power switch on 2 or 3 times should work also.

I'd wait for someone to second one of these 2 ideas just to be on the safe side and make sure I'
m right

I actually bought one of those a month ago, as a stand-by for my psu mod if it went wrong. It comes with installation instructions explaining how to discharge the PSU, and install the shell. The trick is to get it ligned up and in place at one time without shifting it around, because the tape is super strong. Once its in place, there is no moving it unless you can carefully peal the tape off.

Does that really do betting cooling with the mesh? Do you have a fan exhaust on top to pull the heat?

my guess is it aids in psu cooling, however I think with so many holes that must dump alot of extra heat into his case.

It dropped my case temps by 10-12 degrees C......:)

Easy to do, and while I was in the PSU, I changed the fan for a 39cfm Sunon......
