In the BIOS the highest official released bios only support up to the 2.4, and even in most of the hacked bios that's the limit, i'm wondering how everyone is running 2.53s and higher in their systems? Does the multiplier not matter or do you have to OC to get back up to ur chip's normal multiplier x fsb setting? Thanks.

The TH7-II was originally made for the 100 MHz FSB versions of the P4. The 2.4 you are talking about is a 2.4A, i.e. with a multi of 24.

The 2.53 is a P4B. The multi for this chip is only 19. When the chip is put in, and the FSB is set to 133, you get your 2.53 Gigs. However, as the TH7-II officially only supports the 100 FSB versions of P4 (Willamette, and the A Northwoods) you could consider this to be overclocked performance.

Hope this answers your question
