PSU problem ?

Should my psu be turning on if I plug it in to the wall and hit its switch. (I dont have it plugged into any of the pc components)

I respectfully disagree. If you do not have the psu pluged into the main board and plug it into an outlet it will not come on.

Anyway I can test it then because I havnt ordered a mb yet and im not aloud to mess with my parents computor
