Hey i was wondering if anyone in here overclocked using a seagate Hard drive and how far you could safely push the fsb. I have an 80GB seagate and i was wanting to aim for the 200fsb mark but i wanted to make sure it would not kill my HD
If your mobo supports a 1/5 PCI divider, then you should get close (200/5 = 40MHz).
However, be careful. There is a good chance the hard disk wont like it. Seagates are the best at high FSBs, or so I hear.
Also, something else may not like the really high FSB. What RAM are you using?

That should have no problem with high FSBs. If it does, send it back :D

I have the 80gig barracuda ata iv aswell, and I've taken it to 39mhz no problem, also I have an older 5400 ata 100 seagate drive that showed no complaint running at 40mhz.
