Dumb Question:
Is it possible to adapt DDR memory for use in a PC133 mobo?
And, vice versa?
If now, whay hasn't anyone made a fortune by inventing an adapter?
Thx,

I've never heard of an adaptor but maybe there is such a thing out there. Probably would be better off just getting a new DDR board

The motherboard chipset has to be able to use DDR.
It is similar to when SDRAM came out, until there were chipsets for it, you had to run 72 pin EDO or fast page RAM. Once there were compatible chipsets, many motherboards allowed you to run both types (but not at the same time). To bridge the gap until more people had SDRAM. There are a few boards out there that can run standard and DDR SDRAM, but most haven't bothered with SDRAM. If you're buying a fancy new performance motherboard, why would you not also buy the memory it needs to truly perform, I'm sure the thinking goes.

I'm researching now which MB that I want to get.
I just ordered a MSI KT3 Ultra2 for my brother in law, and am thinking about upping to the KT4 or an Abit AT7...
I like my KT7-RAID but wish I had waited for the A version.
Things sure change fast...it seems like yesterday I was reading about this new thing called a mouse. :)
