Corsair heatspreader

I want to take the silver heatspreader from my PC3000 and put it on my PC3200; is the clip all that keeps it on or will I need an adhesive as well?

no, there is also thermal tape under there.

you will need some thermal stuff as well. stay away from arctic silver 3 as it is conductive and if you slip you kill your ram.

i think arctic alumina will be good, or some of that silicone stuff.
really doesn't matter as ram heatspreaders are just for looks.

If you really must have the heat spreaders, buy the theramltake units. I wouldn't take them off of ram that has it already installed. But as Starfoxer said, it is mostly for looks.

see i thought and read that also...so i used the little ramsinks form the Thermal Take ram kit...i dunno if it does anything or works any better...but i thought what the hell? :p
