Well anyone running WinXP will know all about Hibernation, this question came to me when I was powering up my machine this morining... Are there any "side effects" of using hibernation? Of course I will still need to restart every so often, but I'm comtemplating using hibernation now instead of 'actually shutting down' the system.

Not sure about side effects, but it permanently takes up however many MBs of RAM you have as HD space to store the hibernation data.

It sure speeds up booting back up. :)

Every Windows-ver needs a warmreboot sometimes.. That's a fact.
If you use the hib. alternative your computer don't get it's daily reboot... ;)
