I've got the 1400 in there now, boots fine, even updated the bios to handle the XP2200, but when I shut down, take it all apart and put the XP2200 in there it doesn't POST. any ideas? I had the same problem with the 1400 when I first got it. Is it something with the KG7? I can try booting with the chip in another machine and see what happens, but I don't think it's the chip. I don't even get any beep error codes when just the vid card, memory and cpu are in there.
Any ideas?

Why dont you think its the chip? If the BIOS supports XP2200+ then there should not be an issue. Have you tried resetting the CMOS?

well according to the latest bios updates on Abits site, they only support up to the 2100+..
I see no mention of the 2200+ anywhere on there.. so it could very well be that they don't have support for it yet..
The KG7 hasn't been a problem at all except for this. Once I get it worked out I'm sure it'll be great.
/sigh looks like I'll have to get a new board :p

But didnt you say you updated the BIOS so that it could take the XP2200+? If thats not the case then maybe there will be a BIOS release soon that will?
