without infomation, i cannot answer your question - if it is a closed system - not open to air then it will never need refilling, it is a evaporative cooler then it really depends on your systems and yuo will top it up when ever it needs it.

I agree with everyone. If you make sure you seal yoru res after bleeding, then you should never lose water. In a way, it will act liek a closed loop system with a jug of water in the middle :)
