View Full Version : UPDATE: Need Beta Testers!!
Heys guys!
Im soooo sorry, mods you can just kill me!!!
I made a Minor change to the code (I added a temp. so it will change it to a ###.00 instead of ###.00000000, that accessing the memory just KILLED the FPU!)
Im soooo sorry to bother you guys again!
Im using this info you guys give me to put into my progie.
So what ever you post on your CPU speeds is what I will avg and put into my program, as you can see the compare is not done at all, I think I have 2 system in there right now
So if you could RE-DOWNLOAd (Im sorry :( ) and run that file
(I ran it and this has NO bugs with the benchmark system, the program might have some bugs, but the benchmark part of it DOESNT!)
Thanks you guys SOOOO much, and sorry!!
New File (http://www.wideopenwest.com/~gyoungblood/cpu/files/vb/newbench.zip)
Hope you guys will do it 1 more time! Thanks again

Humpf, priority is still normal by default...
There ya go:

Thanks!!!
(Would love about 200 people to reply!!!!)

P4 2.53ghz (not overclocked) (Engineering sample-Intel confidential)
Ram 512
ALU 3274
FPU 1758.72
(Question: Why is my ALU and FPU scores almost the same as Silver Arrows 1.3 Celeron?)
Did you check the check box?
(j/w?)

Yep the P4 box was checked. Have just tried it again with same results.
Your ? dumb founds me?
I really have NO idea why....
Hey guys (Arnie)
I updated it for P'4, im using a constant that I got with some minor calc's
Tell me what you get now!

Aaahhhhh thats better......(breathes a sigh of relief)
ALU now 4834.9999
FPU now 4564.8563
(Now at least I can sleep at night)
Arnie
ALU 3199
FPU 1330
Tualatin Celeron 1.3GHz
CyberFed
09-30-02, 11:36 AM
ALU 4447.766
FPU 1554.4630 (checked p4 box and still low???)
See sig for specs
Thanks guys!
EDIT
WHOP-SE?!
You must click the P4 AFTER YOU BENCHMARK the FPU!!!
Bug!!
So click it AFTER you benchmark your FPU
do do your ALU
then your FPU
then click the box
****BUG***
(I uploaded a fixed version)

New score, 1.8GHz Willamette P4-
ALU- 2165
FPU- 1241 (2838.7)
ALU- 2165
FPU- 2838.7
So what was it before?
ALU- 2165
FPU- 1241
Is that correct?
Or did the ALU change too?
( Slight bug I found, you must:
Run ALU
Then FPU
then click box.)
Sorry (ANOTHE ***Bug**** (Hence BETA!! :-))
Guys made a update.
Has alot of fixes
File 1 (http://www.wideopenwest.com/~gyoungblood/cpu/files/vb/newbench.zip)

Just ran it on a 2.8@3.128 (I know you want un-overclocked results, maybe I'll be nice and reboot later):
ALU 7410
FPU 3234
ALU said 4730, but jumped to 7400 when I checked the P4 box (in the new version). Is it supposed to do that?
OMG...
(Yes it is supppose to do that...)
That 3.1 is SCREAMING FAST!!!
Nice work man!!
ALU 7410
FPU 3234
Is that FPU your SSE2 score?
Can you send me both FPU and SSE2 score, i gotta put that in my PRogie.. thats just a KILLER Score!!

Well those are the scores the program gave me. I ran some different speeds with an unlocked chip. They're in the table below. The first column is MHz, the second column is alu/fpu as they appear in the white boxes, and the third column is alu/fpu-isse2 as they appear in the gray table.
MHz -- ALU /FPU ALUa/FPUa-iSSE2
2666: 4035/1889, 6321/1261-2771
2800: 4227/1993, 6622/1330-2923
3066: 4633/2158, 7258/1440-3165
3200: 4831/2279, 7568/1520-3343
3333: 5046/2344, 7905/1564-3438
OMG you rule dude!!
Thanks for all the info!!
(Can you vote for people?)
Your VERY helpful!:D :D
