Counter Strike display "tearing" (vsync is on)

Hi

I had no probs with my cs for a long time.
I have a radeon 8500le and I just installed the new 2.3 driver
I set the vsync on and got on cs, I play at 1024x768@100Hz on openGL I get 100fps with no prob but I get a no-vsync-like-tearing.

I tried all I know (I reinstalled cs) plz help.

try change resolutions, if it goes away then maybe the driver has that resoulution messed up

also try changing refresh rates, that rate may either mess up your monitor, or just not be effective with the drivers

is the card overclocked? if so, maybe the new drivers aren't stable with the OC. try backing down the speed some. if that doesn't work, or you're already at default speeds, try re-loading the driver, or uninstalling the new driver and reinstalling the old one.
