im running win2k, with sp3 and everything else updated and heres the problem

randomly the computer will lockup and not respond (or respond extremely slowly) then 1 or 2 minutes later it will do all the things from the past minute or so really fast and go back to normal.
Ive identified the culprit as services.exe, when it locks up it starts to use 100% of the cpu time for the duration of the lockup then returns to normal.

any ideas??

Time: 10:20:06 AM
User: N/A

The culprit is your DNSCache service. If you disable that, you should be fine.

Your signature is also too large by 3 lines. Can you reduce the size, please?
