Also, could post what pumps would be good for running 24 hours a day? I never turn my box off.

Most pumps, pond/aquarium pumps, are designed to run 24/7 so I wouldn't worry about running them constantly. As a matter a fact you may get more life out of the pump by doing so. Liss I've been running my Via aqua for around 5 months now with no signs of it dying. It seems to be a pretty harty pump.

my via 1200 has been doing just fine for me for over 4 months now and its on for ATLEAST 10 hours a day. Havent really seen many people say there VIA has died so I would say go for it.

As I have a champion cx-1000 pump ( lousy one) , I am planning to use another just because the power of this one is insufficient and in case of dying, his mate will save my cpu :-)

6 months on a Powerhead pro 4 fishtank pump, never shut off. Well only to change blocks or config of water sys. never had any prob.s I have the same pump in my actuall fishtank and it has been running for over 2 years now with no problems.
