any advice for me?

My Cheiftec Dragon comes in the mail today. You know, the one that nobody else has, and Im gonna cut a 92mm blowhole or 2 in with my 89mm holesaw. Just wanna know if theres a special way to do it just to be safe. I plan on taping it up, then measuring and using a screwdriver to hammer the point where the center of the holkesaw will go to make sure i dont miss the very center. Is there a easy way to make sure i get the holes for the fan screws perfect? Also, i plan on using a 3/16 inch drill bit for the fan screw holes, is this the right size? Thanks, im just afraid to mess up my case, cause if i do i might have to get an antec and be just like everyone else :(

There are a number of guides available on the front page. But here's the usual spiel...

- Mask off EVERYTHING. You don't want to scratch away at your case.
- Measure twice, Drill twice. Make sure you're putting the hole PRECISE where you want it, then pre-drill with a smaller bit. This will keep your holesaw from "dancing"
- Use cutting oil, it will prevent the forming of burrs and will give you a cleaner edge.

When using a holesaw, cut slow. They hafe a tendency to grab when they break through the other side, especially when you use a Makita 1/2" drill. Allmost knocked me off the side of a 6 storey building when I was an apprentice with one:eek:

thanks for replies guys! is the cutting oil necisary? If there burrs i can clean it up with a dremel. Also, instead taping the whole inside of the case, can I just shove a old blanket in there to prevent scratches from when the hole falles through?

i think he meant tape off the outside because that is where the paint is

oh hehe i plan on taping up the top, but tape the front and sides too? The side has a window so im just gonna takr that one off, do i need to take both sides off?

antec and chieftec are the same cases. i had the same case you have but im selling it b/c i dont like the little cable organizer bar below the reinforcement bar.

Yeah, i use my corded drill, and corded dremel, worked out pretty good i say, no bleeding:)
