DALnet does have its problems from time to time. It is for this reason that we are working on a solution to allow people to join alternate networks and still all chat together.

It should be online in the next week or so we hope.

How about if the seti team channel would go to Quakenet? Imo it has pretty good channel service, easy to set up.

The four we are thinking of frequenting are as follows; IRCNet, EFNet, UnderNet, and Dal we were also thinking something such as Enter the game, but quakenet could be something we could look at too. This relay program works splendidly, makes it easy to figure out what network others are on and who exactly is talking the only thing that is a drawback is all chat is relayed through a bot from the other networks. So it wouldn't really differentiate the users except for their nicks within the bot's relay.

Hope that clears up a few things.

I've been using EFnet for about 3 years now. It used to be a little skecthy, but it's been extreamly stable for at least a year now. Being affected by netsplits has gone from common (once or twice a day), to rare (once a week?). It's also currently the network with the most users as of a few days ago when DAL started it's fit.
