hey all, here's what i want to do...

i want to monitor the progress, and %/hour on computers running set on my netowrk and across the internet to all the "seed's" i've planted to see if they are producing.

is this possible? i used to monitor seti on my network with SetiPro but it dident have an internet options.

(i have full permissions to run seti on said "seed's")

Thanks, Digital

I would suggest downloading SETIWatch (http://members.shaw.ca/mloukko/SETIWatch.html)....this permits you see all the movement you have across your "plot".

It's easy to use: just point and click in the network enviroment.

msetimon is good for mixed os's, since it does not require mounting the client file system to check the status, like setiwatch does. setiwatch works ok in an all windows envirmonment, but it updates very slooowwwly (at least for me). from the looks of it, i think msetimon would also let you monitor machines over the internet, like a home machine when you are work, but i have not tried this. i suppose this would require opening or forwarding some firewall ports as well.

as far as i know, nope.

but i didn't really try since i'm using my setiq to check if any of my crunch is "overdue".

If you what to monitor a Windows Network (thats a whole bunch of Windoes OS PCs) SETIWatch is the way to go. But if you want to monitor different systems in different phiscal networks you could use SETIQueu as they dump their WU into the server.

I'm using msetimon, only on my local network, looks like it would work over the internet. It works great, and even works in mixed OS environment, some of my rigs are doze, some are linux.

I am, however, falling in love with setique ...... just installed this week ......
