No, The last P/// Named Tualatin, probably need a new mobo if yours is old, you should ask your mobo manufacturer, i did and they say it won`t work so i get a new one with the new chip, if a mobo is Tualatin compatible then is back compatible with older coppermines P///, as long your chip is fcpga, slot1 is obiously out of question :)

if you have a Slot-1 mobo then you can probably get pretty much any pentium III from 450mhz to 1.53 GHZ to work on your computer youd need a slocket adapter for FCPGA chips and a special tualatin slocket adapter for FCPGA2 chips :)
sweet ok, i have a kind of old one 2 years 700mhz so as long as its not tutalianaanan or whatever and my mobo slot-1 im good on the p3's? im thinking of upgrading my processor because ive upgraded everything else on my comp and now im bored :p
so, having said that what do you think a good processor would be?

actually i think its worth for you to get a 60$ Tualatin 1.1A and the 20-30$ adapter....best bang for buck i see
i didnt know there was an adapter
oh yea also i dont need a chip that can oc well because gateway is evil:mad:
ok so i've been looking around newegg and i see a few chips but the highest p3 i see w/o tuatilin or that is a celeron (p3) based is 1 ghz so.. are there any just regular p3's above 1ghz? if not where could I find an adapter?
