I can't find this fan anywhere and it has pretty killer specs!

This is more research I did for my water cooling. I've been looking at the 120mm fan I'll need to attach to the radiator. I looked through Sunon's site and found specs on their fans. The part number that looks to be the perfect match is as follows:

KD1212PMB2-6A

Here are the specs: 120mm X 120mm X 38mm, 98CFM, 36.5 dBa, 5.1W, 2800RPM, 12V.

I've looked everywhere and can not find this fan!

I did find

KD1212PMB1-6A

It has specs of: 120X120X38, 108CFM, 42dBA, 6.8W, 3100RPM, 12V.

I thought for 5.5 dBA less and only a loss of 10CFM this would be the way to go. Anyone know where I can find these or something with similar specs? Both have the 4pin connector I believe.

I've read good things about panaflo, but it's a 3 pin connector, I prefer the 4pin molex as 120s are pretty stout. Also, it's 86CFM at the same noise level the Sunon KD1212PMB2-6A is at 98CFM. I just can't find this KD1212PMB2-6A anywhere!

I've actually found the one you mentioned for $16.99 for $12.75, my only problem is I'm looking for the KD1212PMB2-6A that is 5.5 decibels quieter at 98CFM.

I'm with you on this one AMDGuy an increase in sound of 3dBA doubles the volume, so at 5.5dBA it's almost 4 times as loud.
A lot of extra noise for a 10 CFM gain.

I did a quick search and found that www.kdcomputers.com and several other resellers have the KD1212PMB1-6A and KD1212PMB3-6A, but not the PMB2-6A. Most peculiar.

Looks like a rheostat is about the only option I have. I'll probably go with the KD1212PMB1-6A and put a rheo on it to adjust the fan speed. The only differenece I see in the PMB1 and PMB2 is the RPM of the blades. PMB1 is 3100, PMB2 is 2800. This will be a little more work up front, but in the long run the extra overhead in the fan might be useful.

I'll post once I get the system all setup. Now I just gotta wait for the fan to get here. <sigh>

Actually it is +3db if you double the surface area (in this case add a second fan of exact specs). +10db is equal to twice as loud to the human ear. So that fan is only 1.5 times louder. These two facts are etched in my brain from car audio spl comps from a year back before speed was more important than mind numbing bass in my car.

Panaflo fans cone with 2 wires that are (normally) connected to a 4-pin molex.

you can always get a converter to go from 3 to 4, sodder them together, or just twist together like I am right now with a delta(she's screeming now!). Works well. Plus, i use the 3 pin so i still get RPM monitoring!(7600 RPM Max Avg 7300 Yippeee!).
