I have the hardware you see below.
Now, W2K Pro runs flawless without any prblems whatsoever.
Then I stuck XP Pro on it, and I get crashes of all kinds. STOP msg of either IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL, NON_PAGED_(etc)_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA and some others I cant remember of the top of my head. The files that are metioned on the BSOD varies, all system files.

I cant get my head around it... anyone with similar experiences?

ps. this is with or without XP SP1, same problem

/edit

also i have no ACPI, and i have tried memory i all memslot combos

My first thoughts are a massive amount of conflicts (IRQ) but I don't know if that's possible or not.

no irq conflicts

i discovered however that one of my mem sticks were faulty (showing as 128mb when its 256!) weird cos it didnt show that earlier, and this has been going on for a while

reinstalled XP Pro SP1, with the one remaining stick, and all seems good so far

/me applying for a RMA :D

I usually get that irq not less qual, whatever error when i dont give my chip enough bcore, ive heard winxp is very picky about how things are working which is a pain in the ass but i'd rather it have that kind of protection rather than none.
