man... I had quite a time with water yesterday, lol. I was doing some maintence on my setup, cleaning everything out, adding AS3, and the like... so I disconnected the tubing from my block, did everything back up, and booted back up. after about 2 minutes, I heard what sounded like a waterfall in my case (thought it was some air bubbles escaping from the reservoir), boy was I wrong! What sounded like a waterfall, really was... ha ha, My vid card started acting like I had oc'd it by 200% too much, and than just shut off.I open up my case, to find there was a puddle on my GF2! Hoping that it didn't take out my MOBO, I bought a new vid card with a quick run to Fry's, only to find out it was both.. so I ran back to fry's, and picked up a new mobo... ha ha. Just wanted to share that with you all. The lesson of this story is, make sure the tubbing is on 150% and retained! Mine was on 90%, and look what happened! Still, I will never go back to AIR COOLING!

yea the "water+bad" thread title will scare people away from watercooling. not a very apropriate title if you end up keeping the watercooling anyway.;)

Sometimes I noticed when removing tubing, than putting it back on, the tubing gets stretched a little. Happened to me once, where I removed tubing (I was still leak testing, thank god), and then put it back on. It was dripping and everything.

I cut off the part where the tubing went over the barb, put it back on, and haven't had that problem since. :)

Water = Good. tripwire w/ water... = bad! :p

yep, that was the problem, but didn't notice it was THAT stretched. I cut off the end AFTER it took out a few stuff. Well, I'll remember this next time Im doing maintence. No one learns until it happens to them!
