As of now I am looking at my brand new monitor, which shipped 3 days after I bought it. The shipping was very high ($80+), but even so it was cheaper than the best deal I could find. I payed $300 with shipping for this sony e500 21" trinitron.

Yup there some pretty good deals on ubid. But be AWARE of the the private sellers on there with zero feedback as theres people scamming people. Like got scammed outta a ps2.. sent money, no product, no support from ubid since person had 0 feedback. :(

You have to be very careful with UBID. They have fallen from
grace with the Integrity Gods. If something goes wrong with
your order or shipping or whatever there will be hell to pay
trying to get them to make it right.
They got greedy and started messing up a little under a year
ago. They are close to being crooks like TigerDirect.
Stay away from Ubid

Actually, I got my monitor from a private seller with no feedback, I guess I just got really, really lucky
Edit: neal, exactly what monitor? I think I got a pretty good deal since this monitor retails for about $1200

Ubid use to be good when they started out but about 2 years ago they started to auction items they do not have in stock.
Their s/h have also risen
now most of their items have reserves where there were none before.
I say go with ebay or an online retailer since you can get a 19"for around the price you paid

I'll tell you why. Some of you dudes aren't big enough to lift
a 21" monitor and if you had help moving it, it might collapse
that Walmart computer desk you are using. :D :D :D :D
