I am putting my new reservoir in place in the Koolance 601 case but i don't know why, i plugged the output hose of the reservoir/pumps without putting a clamp! I read the manual 6 times and i know what i must do but when i plugged it, i think there was only a blank dumb matter in my head... Now i cannot remove the hose for fear of breaking the fragile barb. I put the tube in water before putting it on the reservoir but now that thing would rather die than let go of the tube! I searched in a Canadian tire (kind of home depot) but all they had was too large clamps (and too thick.) 2 options now:
1) Cut the tube 1/2 inch after the barb and then cut the tube in the length direction of the tube to "open" it and put it off. Then put the hose back on the res WITH THE CLAMP!
2) Put something else like a tie wrap?

Tie wrap :)

It will not cause a leak? I heard that it could cause a leak because the tube is getting more loose on the locking side of the tie mechanism...? I don't remember if that was a tie wrap but it looked like it... That would be a charm if putting a tie wrap could settle my problem :) Perhaps that the easiest and best solution. I saw that Koolance included 3 tie wraps in the kit and i did not see any utility for them. Perhaps that was for alternative ways of clamping... But they did not speak about it in the manual. (i'm trying very hard to follow the manual to the letter because that's my 1st watercooling project...

If you can, use very hot water to make the tubing more flexible. It may be easy to undo that way.
Otherwise, a tie wrap could work.
But don't most metal clamps come undone? So they are just a strip of metal, that you could reattach just like a tiewrap? Mine do at least.

I tried to unwrap them but i just cannot reroll it around the tube, my fingers are not strong enough... and i pierced my thumb in the process, sending blood on the reservoir :)
I'll think about hot water but the res is also plastic... I'll keep that as an alternative. Or the tie wrap... I'll speak with my father, he has a lot of construction stuff and he told me he has some metal clamps somewhere.
(edit)
Finally, i just cut that hungry tube down with a very good blade. I cut it almost to the barb and pressure did the rest to cut the tube. I think i did not damage the barb... I just took it off my bed; i think it's bad to work on watercooling when i'm tired...
