Hey just wanted to thank everyone in here, my computer is several times more powerful then it was before and i didnt spend premium prices.
Abit BE6ver1
Celeron300a o/c 450
voodoo3 3000
256mb ram (128 pc133 cl2 crucial, 128 pc133 cl3 samsung)
to
Abit BE6ver1
celeron 1.4 o/c (TBA) on super slotket-III with mods
msi g4 4200 128mb o/c (TBA)
640mb ram (cl2 crucial)
I dont know if i should keep this next part here or reply to the thread or something? but i'll just keep it here
Slotket Mod for Tulatin on BX board
i basically did everything stamsd did with slight variation on method. (variation cuz it wouldnt work at first and im in college and the only tools i had were my leatherman, my swiss army knife, my mini swiss army knife, and my roommates smallish philips screwdriver)
I found that the three pins with IDE wire cover would always get jammed on the lower layer of the slotket. (took me awhile to figure this out actually) With the added diameter of the ide cable wrap the receptor things wouldn't slide off to the side, they'd just jam up and bunch up as well as bend and expose the pins. So i took off the top half of the slotket and bent the receptor metal things on the lower level so they were flush with the side of their respective squares(they are originally going diagnolly across the square).
To short the things, i just used U bent wires like stamsd. For g35-37 just a bare peice of ata66 wire. and for the voltage ones the same, except with a small peice of wire sheath in the middle (they are about one or two pin holes apart for my application)
For the slotket setting itself i think i set it on auto FSB and intel CPU.
Otays thats my little insignificant contribution... oh yah one more question! in softmenu II, do my manually adjusted volt settings and FSB settings work? or am i restricted to whatever my pin wire wrap things i did are and the settings ont he slotket?
ok thanks!
