Aluminum water block

i have just finished making my aluminum water block and the computer woldnt run, but when i put on the od hsf it worked fine.

Is there a reason why none is using aluminum for their water blocks, aluminum does transfer heat more rapid than bras right???

yes aluminum is better than brass , check to be sure its mounted tighyly and flat on the core , also that it isnt shorting anything else out

I know on the water block I got from work. I had to tape over some of the little transistors or resistors on the cpu or whatever they are cause they were making contact with the waterblock and the pc wouldn't post.

Also I hope you mean brass barbs? I don't think I have ever seen anyone use a brass waterblock?

Because people are using copper, not bras, which transfers heat better than aluminum.
