1. is there a way to tell how many wu are cached?

2. i belive i have alot, any reason why i must wait until it downloads one to recieve it?

3. how do i change wu from one user to another?

Yes - go to the web page for your server. Under reports in the left-hand column click on Queues and the list of queues and work units in each one will be displayed.

I'm not sure I understand your question here. Could you rephrase it?

3. how do i change wu from one user to another?

Again bring up your server's web page. At the bottom of the left-hand column click on login under the Admin section. The username is "admin" - that can't be changed by you. The password is whatever you provided. You must enter the password in the Q's main menu on the actual machine it's running on. You can't assign a password from the web menu. Once you're logged in your will see an option to transfer units from one user to another.

ok. i have alot of work units cached as in saved for later use. but when i connect using driver to my queue, i watch queue d/l a new wu after it does it transfers it to my driver. why does it do this when i have wu already downloaded?

Ah - SetiQ uses a forumla to determine a good size cache according to how many work units are being requested by your clients. After a few days it settles down to a certain size range and it tries to maintain this size. So each time a client grabs a wu the server replaces it to keep the cache size in the proper range.
