I've read quite a few posts that make reference to running your fan (especially the Deltas) at 7V instead of 12V. How do I set this up? I assume its just a simple resistor in series, but I'd like to know what resistance I need. I'd also like to set up some switches on the front of my comp that will let me switch between 12V and 7V mode. Should be simple, any big problems anyone sees w/ that?

There is a very well documented website about this:

All you questions will be answered there.

Thanks, you're right, its a very helpful site.
Why would ne1 want to buy a fast fan then lower the voltage to 7V?
Just buy a slower fan! (e.g. a YS Tech instead of a Delta BL)

Basically, I'd like to run it quietly when I'm just screwing around (IE, email, etc.) but then crank it up for games when I'm taxing the CPU much more.
