ok, here's the general specs of the system i'm currently building for my fiancee.

dual socket pIII 1ghz
cd-rw
cd-rom
2 - 40gb hdd
and a few case fans

do you think 350 is enough? it's not going to be oc'ed.

thanks for ur uber intel duallyness. as for amd, yeah i know, more power. but this is just for my fianceé.

The rig in my sig started out like that, and 300W was enough for me. Once I started O/C my power needs became greater and I got a 450W enermax. My 300W was generic crap, but it did do its job.

I've run with as low as 250w on my p3-1ghz duallie :)

Currently I have a 300w unit on it with one cdrom and 1 hdd.
And I am overclocked;)

So you should have ZERO problems- Intel P3s are nowhere near as picky on voltages as the AMD stuff I run:D

Get a decent 350W and you'll be fine.

Q: How do you like your 3ware RAID controller? What drives do you run on it?

I had 300 W PSUs on my duals for a while. They ran 24/7 at
100 %. After about 18 months they started to fail. I replaced
them with 350 W PSUs and have had no problems.
