Hi guys, I'm about ready to go back to a raid system and I'm checking out a few different controller cards.
I was looking at the PROMISE ULTRA133TX2 here (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduct.asp?submit=manufactory&catalog=11&manufactory=1119&DEPA=1&sortby=14&order=1) at newegg.
Was just wondering if there are any controllers I should stay away from...as of now my pci bus runs at 137, how much can these controller cards usually run out of spec? Also do you think that controller I showed would be a good choice?

Thanks alot!

I'm pretty sure you shouldn't have anymore of a problem with yoru RAID controller running out of spec then you would any other PCI device. The reason I say this is because most good OCing boards have RAID on board now it doesn't seem to hold them back at all.

It doesn't really matter if the RAID is integrated or in a PCI slot, they both use the PCI bus and would have to be run out of spec when ocing. You shoudl be okay.
