Hello my question is this
when i am in the bios & looking @ my pc temp geting 49c
after i boot up
& open the via hardware monitor cpu temp is up to 52c
then at about 1 degre per 5 seconds it drops till it levels off
@ 38c is this a normal senario ??
what temp reading do i trust the bios or the via hwm ?
or is the cpu under more stress while im in the bios &/or during boot up
anyone else ever notice this ? is it a bad thing ?
also what can i do to stress the chip to get a true load temp ??

well i think that is fine it takes alot of power to start up windows, go download prime95 it is prety good let if run for a day or so.
It takes a bit of time for the CPU to reach operating temps, and also for the HSF to operate efficiently. Prime95 and CPUBurn are 2 good progs to get your CPU cooking.

When you're in the BIOS setup, your CPU is under load, so you will see if you are in for a few minutes, the temp will most likely increase slowly, once you're in windows, the cpu is no longer under much load so that's why you'll notice the temp. drops after you've booted.
