What size drill bit do I need to use to drill the 4 holes to screw in a fan
I know it's a silly question but I'm oh so close to getting my case mod/watercooling done and I wanna make sure I have all the info I need before I start

3/16 is what I read somewhere, and what I used.
why not just measure the screws you intend to use, or measure the factory holes on a pre-installed fan, or at last, measure the holes in the fan you intend to mount.
this is almost like asking...what color should i paint my living room?
i'm not flaming, but how do we know if you are using self tapping screws that screw into the fan holes? or if you intend to use nuts and small bolts? we don't know if the fan you are using has bigger or smaller than standard size holes.
i don't blame you for asking before finishing your mod......i would not want to botch up mine either.......but if it is that important to get it done right, lets see what you are using exactly, before we give ill advice by mistake.

Sorry I assumed that self tapping screws were the only types of screws and therefore implied and I figured that if I measured it I'd measure it wrong and make the hole to small or big
Better off to be on the small side.... they will usually bite through, a bit harder but its better than a hole that is too big. MOST computer screws are 6/32 (with the exception of screws for CDROM drives and such which tend to be smaller). If you plan to use nuts & such the hole must be equal or slightly larger than the screw/bolt you intend to use.

I broke a 6/32" screw off in a CD-Rom this weekend=) It looked like the smaller ones, and was in my pile of smaller ones.
Large electric drill got it in half way and snap!
