Install Question

I have 2 hard drives. and my 20 gig one is split into 5 partions of 4 gigs, well i have windows xp on E:/ and its running low, when i go to install any software it automatically has E:/ in the begining of the install path, is there any way to change that from automaticly saying e:/ to maybe C:/

i put so many partions cause how many operating systems i have, also the version of windows i have requires me to forma before install, this way i don't erase any other data
