I just found my video card overclocking tool in it's control panel and I want to tinker with the sliders, how should I do this to achieve the best results?

So far:
Core Clock/Memory Clock/3dMark2001Se score

250/552/11260 (stock)
255/555/11408
260/570/11524

Am I doing this right? How should I step up from test to test?

When I OC my card, I go up by 5MHz at a time on both. Then, once I start getting artifacts, I turn one back down 5MHz and re-run the program. If that didn't clear up the artifacts, I bring it back up and bring the other one down 5MHz. That should clear it up.

Wow, just got 11725 at 270/570!

I tried 270/575 but 3dMark closed down on me, what does this mean?

I am almost possitive it means the card wasnt stable so it quit. It does that to me when I OC to a point where my card is unstable.
