Hey does anybody know what the go with the new 667 Gigabyte boards?
Is that 667 mhz bus?
They say "supports P4 3 Ghz and above".
Does that also mean that the 3 GHz will have 166 mhz FSB or what.
I'm confused...

Thanks.

Come on somebody must know. I think they are still 533 FSB but why would they be called 667? Even the ad has a little performance bar with FSB533/DDR33 down the bottom and FSB667/DDR400 up the top.

I've seen that, too. This isn't concrete, but I think they are just promoting that you can run the FSB up that high if the rest of your system can take it. (The P4 defaults at 533.)

Well what about if they support 166 FSB when those P4's come out. Meaning full compatibility from the first P4's through to the last P4's. That would be cool.
