Hello All,

I was wondering if anyone has ever managed to get VNC's web-browser feature to work? Its some sort of java app (or javascript), but since I am not a programmer/coder and I have no idea how to set it up.

Can anyone help?

PS VNC, for those that do not know, is an AT&T developed terminal program that is open-platform. Kind of like remote desktop and it works without a hitch, albeit limited. Please, not alternative suggestions.

If it is already installed it should work.

What you need to do is type in: http ://computername:5800
(get rid of the space between http and : )
5800 is the default port it uses;)

you can also substitute the ip addy for the computername.

Interesting. When I tried this a few months ago I could not get it to work. This time, I downloaded the lastest version, installed it, opened up the necessary ports, and it work fine from another PC on the same LAN using my static public IP (using the router's virtual server to steer 5800/5900 port traffic to the server).

Cool!

Yeah, the browser feature of VNC will allow me to do addition non-work related things while at work. :D Up to know, I only had forums to keep me entertained while at work. :)
