ok, i have a stick of consair pc3000, its cas 2. question i have is, if i relax the timings, will it slow it down??? the default timings are 2-5-2-2, and right now, i have it set to 2.5-7-3-3, so i could run the 3:4 divider at 155fsb. it is scoring good, and essentially is it running at ddr 408, i believe. is it slowing me down using the relaxed settings????? here is the score:

try tweaking the timings and finding the best timings u can get. im sure u can do cas 2. i think having it at the 3:4 divider is better than 1:1 with aggressive timings....u can test it out for urself and see what the results are. but i think u can get better timings than 2.5-7-3-3 try 2-6-3-3 and if thats good then try 2-6-3-2-

More aggressive timings such as CAS2 with a lower FSB generally produce better end results than do lax memory timings and higher FSB speeds. While Sandra provides a good indication of the individual parts of your system such as memory or cpu characteristics, it doesn't provide a good measure of the integrated picture. You might try Prime95 or some other application that better tests the behavior of the computing part of your system as a whole. ;)
