8x AGP Question

Alright, so I have a GeForce 4 4600 TI (128mb) and I'm pretty sure it's a 4x. My new mobo supports 8x, so can the card run at 8x, or do I have to keep the bios settings at 4x? I'm new to this 8x business...

you have to kep running on x4 if it were me id try x8 but i doubt that would work

it will not run 8x agp cause the card does not support 8x. Anyways all tests show that there is hardly any differencve between 8x and 4x as AGP 4x is not even at it limit yet

full advantage of 8x AGP still has a way to go. you can set you board to agp 8x but the card will run at 4x agp as it is backwards compatible
