What do you reckon to this tubing?

I got a digital camera yesterday, so i'm playing, but what do you think of this tubing? It won't kink - at all. It's got spiral ribs in it made of harder "springy" plastic. The only downside is you need a good seal on it to get it watertight otherwise the water leaches out the spiral grooves on the inside of the tube (1/2 in. I.D.). Lucky I soaktested this stuff and decided against it before putting it in my system from the leakyness point of view. Any sealing suggestions would be good. Thought of silicone or heatshrink sleeving over the join myself.

Perhaps you could run a short length of regular vinyl or whatever tubing to the barb, then attatch the un-kinkable tubing to that. Bonding tubing to tubing may be easier than tubing to barb - unless you wanna expoxy the stuff on...

those spiral ribs aren't gonna be to great from a flowrate perspective, if you have a tight case and need the bends that tight i'd use silicone to seal the tubing. some good lexel silicone. great stuff.

goob would work, man I wish I had a couple feet of that stuff, I had to make a lot of angles out of brass for my bends:(

Tubing diameter is 1/2 inch inside diameter, 5/8ths inch outside diameter.
About the spirals not being good for flow - you can always get the next size spiral tubing up from the tubing you want to use, then put your "kinky" tubing inside the spiral tubing.
