hola everyone...im thinkin about my case airflow..and right now, i have a 50+ cfm sunon 92mm on the side (blowing right over the video card/nb) and the same fan up front (i cut out the metal more so that it would be getting the full amount of air possible)..and then a 45+ cfm panaflo 80mm in the back (with the grill cut out, to provide with more flow), and a pci blower...2 slots below the video card..which is like 42 cfm....do you all think it would help to put a blowhole in the top of my case? or to put exhaust somewhere else? because i dont see how it can be 25C in my case..and only 20C in my room....what do you all think i should do?

I don't think 25C in you case is bad at all. As to the temp being higher in the case some things to consider:
1. It is a confined space, airflow or not.
2. Several high temp components are giving it all they got in there. (Do you typically run heat lamps in your room in general?)
3. Fans, though they get the air moving actually increase the temp of the air they are blowing ever so slightly.
4. You want you room to be cooler, else where would your rig vent the heat to? (Kind of like if you overheat on a really hot summer day you rish heat exhaustion because the air is so warm your body can't vent heat fast enough. Same for computers)
As to the blow hole in the roof IMHO the actual gain you would realize would depend on how good your PSU fans were. The better they are the less heat would reach the top of the case to be vented there.

On my 1st rig, I used 80cfm in and as close to 80 cfm out, and the PS fan also.
Then I installed a 120 cfm fan on the intake, and changed NOTHING else. My temps dropped like 10C.
I perfer positive case pressure.
You'll have to experiment and find out what works best for you.
Good Luck.

Yeah, I forgot to add that as I started to turn fans around to go from neutral to positive air pressure my temps also dropped.

the side fan dropped temps about 5-8 C...but..this is what im thinking...im getting an unlocking kit next week..so i will be taking my computer apart totally...so when the better time to do this....i mean, i have access to a 92mm hole saw..and i have a 92mm fan sitting around...and some grills...so i might as well
btw..psu fans are worthless..and i dont want to void the warranty to exchange the fans on them

It never hurts to try;)
PSU fans may be worthless but they are the only exhaust in my system, 6 fans in and only the PSU out, and they work just fine to keep my temps low.
What's a warranty?:D

warranty means i dont have to shell out another $80 if my psu dies....they pay for it.
i have 2 fans in..and 1 out...and the blower i put in...doesnt do any good

I had a PCI blower for a while too. Never noticed a change in temps and still wonder how long it was dead before I noticed it was dead. Never replaced it.
I don't think there's a warranty in my rig that I haven't voided 10 times over already. I just love to fiddle too much:D
But let us know , if you decide to do it, if the exhaust fan in the top helps.

If you overclock, i think most warrenties are voided, say expansion cards like pci, agp, harddrives and i think cdrw~dvd drives all are voided so read up on your eula or tos or such. Read the fine print, i remember reading that western digital and possibly a few other hd makers would void your warrenty if you installed LINUX! i mean really thats a good way to scare people from switching to linux.

Well according to most EULAs, if you so much as turn your computer on the manufacturers have the right to come repossess it. They are ridiculous in the extreme.
And no wonder your warranty is voided if you use Linux, after all what other OS allows you to truly use the full functionality of every aspect of your hardware. Talk about scandalous behavior:eek:

I used to have Lian-Li case with 2 intakes and 1 exhaust ... and my temps were 50's idle 55 load ... I returned it and got Antec Performance Series w/4 fans .. 2 exhausts and 2 intakes and 1 side and what a diffrence!! my temps are now w/AS3 35-36idle 38-40 load.
I'm going to break with the crowd and encourage you to add another exhaust. Perhaps mod the fan on the back to 92mm. A blowhole ptop may also help. I think you could get closer to room temp. How does the case temp change when you take the sides off?
